Separate internal review from the final customer approval

Progress update from 1 May 2026. Linked guides describe the current product.

TL;DR

Clipflow updates

  • A client overview brought projects, activity, files and portal access together.
  • The media list added a clearer route to filtered review queues.
  • Reviewed and Declined statuses helped distinguish review progress from final approval.

Putting it to work

  • Check quality internally before asking the client to approve the explanation.
  • Give an editor a filtered view of the media that actually needs changes.

Give each reviewer a clear decision

For a founder interview, an internal reviewer might check the opening, audio and pacing first. The founder then checks whether the answer is accurate and represents the business properly. Those are related jobs, but they are not the same decision.

Reviewed is a step before sharing work for final approval. Keep that meaning clear with your team so a completed internal pass does not accidentally signal permission to publish.

The media review guide explains the current statuses. For client feedback, the client portals guide covers giving people access to the work they need to inspect.

Make the next edit obvious

An editor's queue should show the files needing their attention. Filter by uploader and changes required to focus the queue on the files the editor needs to act on.

Write feedback that points to the decision. For the interview, explain which claim needs correction or where the opening loses the answer. The editor can then make a purposeful change without interpreting a vague request to improve it.

Move the revised file through the same review steps. A clear queue and agreed statuses reduce coordination while keeping responsibility for the final explanation visible.
