Media review and notifications

Media Review lets you watch edits, leave timestamped feedback, draw annotations, compare revisions, and approve or request changes — all inside Clipflow. This guide explains how to review files, manage comments, navigate revisions, and use the notifications panel to stay on top of updates from your team.

Media Review Overview

1. Opening Media Files

• Open your project and scroll to the Media Files section.

• Media files appear both:- In the project view, and

• In the Explorer sidebar

• Click any file to enter the full media review interface.

2. Watching the File & Leaving Feedback

Inside the media review player you can:

• Watch the video directly in the browser.
• Leave comments in the comment box on the right.
• Press Command + Enter or click Send to submit a comment.
• Attach files to a comment if needed.
• Draw annotations directly on the video frame to highlight changes.

3. Navigating Comments

• All comments appear in the right panel.
• Click any comment to jump to the exact timestamp.
• You can collapse or hide interface panels:- Press Shift + | (backslash above Enter) for full-screen mode.
• Hide individual sidebars to expand the viewing area.

4. Using Notifications

Notifications help you keep track of:

• New comments
• New uploads
• New revisions
• Mentions and team activity Key features:
• Notifications are grouped by person, project, and time window (about one hour).
• This prevents overwhelming floods of individual comment alerts.
• Once reviewed, you can mark notifications as Read.

5. Approving or Requesting Changes

At the end of your review:

• Click “Changes required” to send the edit back.
• Click “Approved” if the content is final.
• The file automatically moves between:- Pending
• Changes Required
• Approved

This keeps your post-production flow clean and organized.

6. Reviewing Revisions

When new versions are uploaded:

• Click Attributes to see all revisions of the file.
• Jump between versions (V1, V2, V3, etc.) instantly.
• Comments from previous versions are still visible.- This makes it easy to compare what changed from one revision to the next.
• You can see which feedback was addressed or still outstanding.
