How to find the gaps in your content calendar and fill them with drafts in a few minutes
Ask Claude or ChatGPT to find the empty days in your Clipflow calendar, then draft posts for them from approved media and your best past content.

Catch the empty week before it happens
You look up on Thursday and realise nothing has gone out since last Tuesday. You know showing up matters, and you still forget, because the calendar is one more place to check. This prompt checks it for you and hands you drafts for the gaps, so the only thing left to decide is which ones you like.
You need Claude or ChatGPT connected with write access. If you have not done that yet, start with Set Up Your Assistant.
The prompt
Create a project for loose posts first, such as November Content, or name one you already have. Without a named project, every draft gets a project of its own.
Look at what is scheduled on [Instagram] in Clipflow for the next 14 days in the [organization name] organization, and tell me which days have nothing.
Then suggest [three] posts for those days. Use approved videos that are not on a post yet first, and base the rest on what performed best over the last 90 days.
Show me the suggestions and wait for me to pick. Then draft the ones I choose in the [project name] project, with a title, caption and the suggested date, and attach the video where there is one.
Run it on the same day each week. Monday morning works well, because a gap you spot on Monday can still be filled that week.
What happens in Clipflow
- Your assistant reads the calendar. It counts posts that are Ready with a date, since those are the ones going out. A draft with a date shows up in the Planner but will not publish.
- It looks for what you already have. Finished videos that were approved and never made it onto a post are the quickest wins. They are often sitting in Clipflow unused.
- It checks what has worked. Your top posts from the last 90 days shape the suggestions, so you get more of what your audience already responds to.
- You pick. Reply with “one and three, and make the second one shorter”.
- The drafts appear. They show in the project and in the Planner with their dates.
Your part
Open Review → Posts, read each draft and mark the ones you want as Ready. If the channel is on Automatic Posting, that is the last step. A post with a date keeps that date when you mark it Ready. If you would rather Clipflow place posts in your next open time slots, ask for the drafts with no date.
A suggestion with no video needs someone to make it, so ask your assistant to set that up as well: “Create a project for the second idea and add [name].”
Good to know
- Your assistant cannot see your time slots. It can see scheduled posts, so tell it your rhythm in your rules: “We post on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9am.”
- Dates need your time zone. If your dates land on the wrong day, add your city or UTC offset to your rules.
- Do it across every channel. Remove
[Instagram]from the prompt, or name several channels, to see the whole calendar. - Doing this every week? Set up the weekly content briefing to flag gaps for you, then run this prompt only when it finds one.
