How to turn one video into a week of posts written from what you actually said

Use a video's transcript in Clipflow to plan clips for your editor and draft platform-ready posts with Claude or ChatGPT.

Updated

Get more than one post out of the video you already made

You spent a morning recording a good 20 minute video. It went out once. The clips, the captions and the versions for each platform are a list of small decisions nobody has time to make, so the rest of what you said goes unused.

Your assistant can read the video’s transcript in Clipflow, which means it writes from your words and your examples. You need Claude or ChatGPT connected with write access, and the video needs a transcript. See Set Up Your Assistant to connect.

Prompt 1: Plan clips from a long video

Use this when you have a long video and an editor. Your assistant finds the moments and briefs your editor, and your editor makes the clips.

Find the video called [title] in the [project name] project in Clipflow and read its transcript.

Pick the [five] moments that make sense on their own to someone who has not seen the full video. For each one, give me the start and end time, a hook and why you chose it.

Wait for my OK. Then create a sub-project of [project name] for each one and add [editor]. Put the timestamps and the hook in the description, and draft an Instagram Reel with a title and caption.

Each editor gets a sub-project with the exact timestamps, and each post is already written. When the clip comes back and is approved, attach it to the draft and mark it Ready.

Prompt 2: Post one finished video everywhere

Use this when the video is finished and approved, such as a reel you want on several platforms.

Find the approved video called [title] in Clipflow and read its transcript. Draft a post for each of these, in the same project, with that video attached: Instagram Reel, TikTok, YouTube Short, Facebook Reel.

Write a different caption for each one and open with a different line from the video. Use my words wherever you can.

Your drafts appear with the video attached, ready for review.

Your part

Read the drafts in Review → Posts and mark them Ready. A post with no date takes the next open time slot on its channel, so several Ready posts for one channel spread out on their own.

Good to know

  • Your assistant does not edit video. It reads the transcript and writes. Someone on your team, or your usual editing tools, still makes the clips.
  • The video needs a transcript. Your assistant cannot watch the video. If the transcript is missing it should tell you, so check Transcription first.
  • Give the exact title. Your assistant finds a video by its file name, or you can paste the link from Clipflow. Searching by what happens in the video is not reliable yet.
  • Check names and numbers. Transcripts mishear product names and people. Read those lines before you mark a post Ready, and add the correct spellings to your rules.
