Separate the client review from the production workspace

The tools your editor needs can be unnecessary work for the person approving the video. A dedicated client-review space separates those jobs; at the time, we were designing that experience while testing analytics behind feature flags.

Separate the client review from the production workspace

The tools your editor needs can be unnecessary work for the person approving the video. A dedicated client-review space separates those jobs; at the time, we were designing that experience while testing analytics behind feature flags.

Progress update from 31 January 2026. Analytics was in production behind testing flags, and the client portal was being designed. Neither state established general customer availability that week.

Update, 4 October 2026: Client portals are now generally available. See the current client portals guide for setup and the permissions needed. Analytics is now generally available for connected channels. The current analytics guide explains supported views and reporting limits.

TL;DR

Clipflow updates

  • Instagram and YouTube analytics syncing was undergoing gated testing.
  • A client portal was being designed for agencies and busy business reviewers.
  • Rich text editing and other interface improvements were being polished.

Putting it to work

  • Give reviewers the material and decision they need, while keeping production coordination with the team.
  • Distinguish a working internal demonstration from a feature your customers can use.

Assign different jobs to different people

An editor needs briefs, versions, assignments and feedback. A client reviewing a service explanation may only need the finished cut and a request to confirm its accuracy. Sending both people through the same setup can add work without improving the decision.

Client-portal development aimed to handle that difference. The current client portals guide explains the available review space today.

Before sharing, define what you want approved. A general request for thoughts can produce a new creative discussion when you actually need a factual check. Make the decision visible and keep the response with the edit.

Keep availability clear too

Analytics was running behind flags while the team tested it. Being deployed did not mean every customer had access. That distinction matters whenever you teach a workflow from an old demonstration.

Use the current analytics guide for today's reporting steps. Keep historical product progress in context while giving the reader a reliable route to the workflow they can use now.
