Build a brief that lets the team review the plan first

Fast execution is less useful when the team is solving the wrong problem. Reviewing a plan before execution gives the team a chance to correct an assumption while it is still cheap to change. The same discipline can make a founder's content brief easier for an editor to act on.

Fast execution is less useful when the team is solving the wrong problem. Reviewing a plan before execution gives the team a chance to correct an assumption while it is still cheap to change. The same discipline can make a founder's content brief easier for an editor to act on.

Progress update from 27 February 2026. The content-brief example adapts our development planning practice; it is not a new Clipflow planning feature.

TL;DR

Clipflow updates

  • The team was refining its AI-assisted development workflow around planning and review.
  • Analytics development highlighted the need for time and accumulated data.
  • Keeping useful business context with the work remained a product-direction focus.

Putting it to work

  • Agree the explanation and example before the editor invests in the full edit.
  • Preserve the reasoning behind the brief so revisions have a clear purpose.

Review what the piece will teach

For a buying-question video, write the question, intended audience and key answer first. Add the example that makes the reasoning concrete. Ask the founder to confirm the explanation before asking the editor to polish its delivery.

Reviewing a development plan while the context is fresh makes mistaken assumptions easier to correct. In a content workflow, an agreed outline offers the same opportunity to catch a mistaken assumption early.

Keep that outline in the project. The Project Pages guide explains storing scripts, notes and references together. An editor can then return to the intended lesson when deciding what to cut.

Review execution against that agreement

Watch the first cut with the brief beside it. Does the customer understand the answer? Did the example survive? If a revision is needed, explain which part of the agreed purpose is missing.

That gives feedback a clear reference point. The team can improve the finished piece without repeatedly reopening the question of what it was meant to do.
