Our mission, who we are and what we stand for.
Clipflow is currently in it’s Beta release. We are a small team with a solid track record, looking for invested creators who want to help guide the creation of this platform. If you have strong processes and desires for growth, we need you to help us build a platform that makes a real difference in the world.
We’ve written this document to outline what we believe and what we reject. We’re building our platform on these foundational principles, offering a clear point of view in an industry overwhelmed with complexity and over-optimisation.
Complex, generic project management tools are a burden. They’re packed with endless configurations but lack the focus on what truly matters to content creators. We want to change that with a platform built on simplicity that functions exactly as content creators expect.
And we need you to help us build it.
When a tool is built to suit all possible use cases, cater to everyone and are extendable beyond belief, they cater to no one perfectly. Creators are spending more time managing the tools than creating content and it’s a waste of time and talent. We believe in quality over quantity in our product development.
If you’ve ever purchased or considered purchasing a template, you already know what we’re talking about. It takes a full course to learn to use the product and another course to learn to use the template effectively.
What if the knowledge and process of the greatest YouTube educators was built right into the workflow, guiding you through every step.
We’ve experienced this ourselves. The analysis paralysis. All the advice, all the "Don’t Start a YouTube Channel Until You Understand This" videos. Pressure to optimise content for YouTube can lead you down a path that optimises for numbers rather than people. Driven by numbers, not passion. This shift from creativity to conformity is something we reject. But…
In a business context we wholeheartedly believe that profit is a primary driver for success. You can’t keep operating unless you’re making money and you won’t be motivated to continue without results.
With that being said, we aim to empower more amazing undiscovered individuals with a platform that guides you through the processes that unlock exposure, without cascading down into the AI/Generalist Feedback Loop we’ve seen developing.
We’ve seen the amazing knowledge that exists in the world and have personally benefited from listening to the opinions, stories, perspectives of a huge range of individuals thanks to YouTube. We feel that it is a wasted opportunity if people aren’t sharing their knowledge or perspective.
You’ve probably seen someone that you’ve never heard of before blow up in a few months with banger after banger of insightful content. If they’d never made the jump to create content, how many people would be disadvantaged?
We want to capture this and encourage more people to share.
We prioritise genuine content creation. From idea collection to guiding creators through their process, enhancing your ability to create, never overriding it, never leaving you with a blank page not sure what to do next.
We’re not against AI tools but we do believe the heart of content should be humans sharing knowledge, perspective and creativity. Not gaming the system. You and only you have the context of your entire world view and you can’t download that into a computer (yet). Advice or recommendations that AI provides is usually general in nature and you can’t craft an effective human led, human attention grabbing brand or business with that baseline.
No more hacky solutions or formulas. We would expect any creator, new or old, to understand and use our tools without a manual or instruction and without requiring configuration. Tailored to the best practises of the industry, seamless and efficient, for experts and beginners.
You shouldn’t feel like you’re alone, unsure of where to turn. And…
You shouldn’t have to watch 180 hours of YouTube educational content to make sure you’re starting on the right foot and fully leveraging your effort.
We’re cutting the clutter, and increasing focus on what matters. Less configuration, more creation. As smooth as possible.
We know that customisation is absolutely necessary when you know what you’re doing, but it has to be easy to configure and tailor to your unique workflow.
There are best practises for YouTube - generic project management tools aren’t going to build them - but we are.
We’re aiming to enable the greatest educators and content creators to shape Clipflow into their perfect process and then potentially making those perfect processes available for others to follow.
Processes may be completely different when creating a generalist educational video or an entertainment piece, but there’s a world where people can take the frameworks and processes from the thought leaders and implement them in their own creator business…
and we’re going to figure out how to implement it.

We are independent, self backed and responsible for our own platform, we’re building for you and we need your help. This means that we get to make decisions for the long haul, not ones purely based on revenue or to satisfy external funding and growth metrics.
We believe no one has effectively captured this space in the name of content creators. We have a hunch it’s because of the huge range of varied processes that make it difficult to systemize. In our last B2B (Realbase - exited 2 years ago) we encountered a customer base with similar, varied processes, and built a product that suited the mass market, that was versatile and customisable for any team.
We believe we can do the same here, and we want you to join us in our mission to simplify content creation, empower new and old creators and celebrate authenticity. After all, you’re creators and your voice should be heard.
